Please note that hand cycles are not permitted at parkrun events. Wheelchair users can contact our support team via if they wish to have their parkrun profile marked in such a way that they then appear in our results as a wheelchair participant (MWC or WWC).
This does not extend to people with short-term conditions or injured, non-disabled people. Mobility scooters are also allowed at our events. Specifically, however, we do not determine the suitability or otherwise of our courses for wheelchairs, as this varies greatly depending on the skill, experience, and confidence of the wheelchair user.Īll our event teams can be contacted via the email address at the bottom of the event web page, and they would be delighted to talk through the details of their course so that a wheelchair user can decide whether they feel it is suitable for them.įurther, where individuals have long-term conditions that would prevent them from propelling themselves in a wheelchair, we are happy for them to register, be pushed around the course or use a motorised chair, and receive a time. We pride ourselves in being accessible to as many people as possible and we, therefore, welcome wheelchair users.
